As part of a doctoral programme in Trinity College Genevieve Murray is currently conducting research on workplace bullying with reference to the teaching profession at post-primary level. She hopes her research will build on earlier research by the ESRI on bullying within the public sector and help strengthen capacity to understand and respond more effectively to bullying.

Each of the teacher unions and management bodies have expressed support for this work and interest in the findings. If you have been/are being affected by bullying or are invited in this area you are invited to participate in the research by accessing the details attached.

Aid for Haiti Tragedy
TUI’s Executive Committee decided on Friday 18th January to donate €5,000 to assist with aid efforts in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti. It was also suggested that if branches are to hold collections or make similar donations from existing funds for the cause that TUI head office would assist in sourcing the most appropriate organisation(s) for funding.
